Need Rx Help?

Is is no secret that many state, county and local governments are struggling to provide services to their residents while trying to balance those services against a shrinking budget. Whether the services are for housing, education or healthcare; you don't have to look very hard to see that many of the resources that were commonplace a few years ago have been minimized or have completely disappeared.

For example, many counties that have non-profit hospitals and clinics, no longer have funds to assist their residents with prescription assistance programs. Applying for these programs can be confusing, frustrating and time consuming for the average eligible consumer, yet in many cases the funding is no longer available to staff an advocate to handle the paperwork, refills and general service questions for these programs. This certainly doesn't mean that the need has disappeared, just the resources to connect the patient in need with the programs that are available to them! In fact, the need in many cases due to the current economic situation is more dire than it has been for many years.

At Rx Access, we work with many non-profit organizations as well as several public sector entities, such as those mentioned above. We think the current budget crunch presents opportunities to form non-traditional partnerships, with the ultimate goal of providing prescription assistance to residents and members of counties, cities and states that can no longer offer this type of resource to their residents.
